Spatial Databases

Digital spatial database compilation and analytical possibilities have been of great interest within the archaeological profession since geographical information systems technologies first began to be developed. As in many sciences, however, archaeologists and cultural resource managers have yet to realize the full potential of these methods, almost 30 years later.

Ebert & Associates has been active in developing archaeological applications of GIS and related digital mapping and data collection techniques and methods throughout this digital revolution. A few publications are given below that focus on cutting-edge topics such as sampling, predictive modeling, and applications of GIS.
